Range anxiety is real when driving an electric vehicle. And the best solution to this is PRE-PLANNING your trip. We cannot stress enough how important it is to pre-plan your drive an Electric Vehicle (EV). Here are some important tips when planning your GoEV trip.
Distance on a single charge.
On a full charge, the Nissan Leaf is estimated to be able to travel up to 311km, however which varies depending on the driving style, road conditions and more. Depending on the last booking, best practice is to plan your trip based on 70% range.

Whats included in your GoEV?
Once you unlock the your GoEV, make sure to check to ensure these essentials are in your GoEV. We have taken great care to equip your vehicle with tools so you can charge conveniently.
Best to take a photo of these items and include them in your start trip photos.

GoEV comes equipped with chargEV access cards. You can charge at all chargEV stations for free.

For EV stations without any existing cables: use this cable to connect the GoEV car to the EV charger.

For EV stations with existing cables: use this adaptor to connect to existing EV station cable, and connect the other side to the GoEV car.
Can I charge GoEV at any EV charging station?

No, not all EV chargers will be able to charge all EVs. There are many types of EV chargers available in Malaysia. This means is that the connecting sockets for the EV chargers may sometimes be incompatible.Â

There are 2 types of EV charging currents available – AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current). Most EV chargers available are AC chargers, with a handful of DC chargers available in Malaysia.
Generally, an electric vehicle (EV) is equipped with two charging sockets, Type 1 OR Type 2 for AC charge and CHAdeMO OR CCS for DC charge.

The Nissan Leaf is equipped with the Type 1 & CHAdeMO socket. The Type 1 Cable is included in the GoEV unit or at GoEV Zones.Â
Planning your trip with GoEV.
Before you start your trip, here are some handy tips of things to look out for.

Plan where you want to go and how far. EV chargers are mostly covering Klang Valley areas at this time. Driving outstation must be done with caution.

Check the car’s estimated range to ensure you have enough range to get to your next charge location.

Where can I charge?
There are many EV charger providers available. We have provided chargEV access cards in each GoEV which gives you access to over 300 EV chargers throughout Malaysia.
Having said that – there are some common EV chargers available and how you can access these EV chargers.

GoEV zones and Nissan locations.
You can always head back to your pick-up spot to re-charge anytime you need. Alternatively, there are a list of Nissan showroom and service centres where you can stop by to charge:

chargEV has an extensive list of chargers available throughout Malaysia, with over 300 locations. Use the chargEV access card provided in your GoEV to activate the EV charger, and use the EV cable OR the EV adapter as needed.

Jom Charge locations
View their locations, and EV charger availability through their mobile app. Check to ensure locations are allow Type 2 or CHAdeMO types.
Using Jom Charge EV chargers will incur charges, and these costs are borne by users. Payment can be made via Jom Charge mobile app. Download on Google Play and Apple App Store

Shell Recharge (via ParkEasy) locations
Shell Recharge offers two types of EV chargers – AC and DC. The DC chargers are not compatible with GoEV at this point, but the AC chargers are compatible. View the charger types that allow Type 2 as listed in the ParkEasy app.
Using Shell Recharge chargers will incur charges, and costs are borne directly by users. Payment can be made directly via ParkEasy app. Access Shell Recharge stations via ParkEasy app. Download ParkEasy on Google Play and Apple App Store.
SOS. I'm almost out of battery, and I'm not able to charge. What should I do.
Try to find an EV charging location near you. In mean time, activate ECO mode and do not accelerate excessively.
If you’re not able to make it to an EV charger, please park the EV at a location that is safe, and call our Customer Experience team. They will tow the vehicle back to a GoEV location for charging. Take note that the towing fees will be charged to you.
